RAI International Changes to MPEG4

On the 1st of July 2015 RAI International shut off MPEG2 services on Asiasat 5. RAI has changed to HD MPEG4 as of the 1st July 2015. The RAI service is now running in MPEG4 on Asiasat 5 on the below parameters:

Freq: 3700GHz

Symbol Rate: 30000

Polarity: V

FEC: 3/4

You or your customers may be trying to use your existing MPEG2 receiver for Rai International but these will no longer work for this service. You need to purchase a new MPEG4 Receiver. Receivers like the SatKing DVBS600HD, Dreamax DVBS420HD or the Dreamax 680 will do the job. Demand is very high and we expect to run out of supplies for receivers that suit Rai International by Wednesday the 8/07/2015 or earlier so don't delay.

SatKing VAST Receiver Australia's Most Popular

The SatKing DVBS2-800CA is now Australia's most popular VAST receiver. At times this year this unit has actually out sold all other VAST receivers on the market combined. Feedback from customers as to why it is the most popular VAST satellite receiver is due to it's compact size and ease of use. Other units claim to be designed in Australia but there is no mistaking the SatKings Australian roots. Some give aways of the Australian design:

  • The SatKings user friendly and bright colourful OSD
  • Large button remote with learning features and main buttons that can be seen in the dark
  • Compact Size
  • Reliability with Australian power and heat, feedback from Dealers Australia wide that it is clearly the most reliable
  • Suits home, caravan RV and commercial use. No other VAST receiver can genuinely lay claim to this.

The Pro Max satellite system is the latest technology, this new technology allows the unit to be smaller than the existing designs available and still be very powerful. The smaller size means the unit uses a great deal less roof space (1/2 on average) on your van or vehicle. The Pro Max also is great value, due to SatKing large buying power the cost has come down greatly. The unit is available and in-stock now.

Signal Outage

On Friday night the 22/03/2014 at 10.50 EST approx VAST’s satellite transmission was interrupted, we also noticed some Foxtel services were also not running. This outage lasted between 15 minutes and 1 hour depending on the actual channel customers may have been watching. This was not a localised issue but an issue on the uplink side so all customers were effected, this was not a planned outage. Normal TV services would have resumed automatically.
