We proudly announce the release of our first VAST certified Satellite TV receiver. SatKing DVBS2-800CA brings a new level of features and compact design to the VAST platform. The receiver is fully MPEG-4 compliant and offers many new features previously not available to VAST customers. We have designed the unit to both suit Home and Traveller customers in mind. The unit is 12 Volt and comes supplied with a 240 Volt power pack for home use. A new low level in power consumption has also been achieved with the unit consuming well below 15 Watts in operation mode. The unit also offers new features like a built in signal beeper and an optional remote IR target so you can hide the SatKing DVBS2-800CA in a cupboard or behind your big screen TV. Keeping in mind that the remote is very important these days we spent a great deal of time designing the remote to have many different size larger type buttons and we added a learning functions so this remote can take over the main operations of your TV remote. Customers will find this unit a pleasure to use with super fast operation when using functions like the easy to read EPG and will also find that all units come as standard at no extra charge as PVR ready. The unit is ultra compact measuring only 220x180x47mm in size and weighing in at 750 Gram, this VAST decoder is small in size but big on features.

The Autumnal Equinox for 2012

// posted by Admin on Wednesday, August 15, 2012

Aug 15

The Autumnal Equinox for 2012 is coming soon, during the months of September and October customers are likely to experience outages of their satellite signals due to the sun moving in behind Satellites in space. These outages occur twice per year around the Spring and Autumn equinoxes as the earth tilts and the seasons change. At these times, customers will generally completely lose picture and sound for up to 15 minutes. The exact dish size will control the actual length of the outage, larger dishes will have the shortest interruption. We can predict when these outages will take place. Satellites located in the Eastern Hemisphere (IS-8 & IS-18 )are affected during the morning, satellites in the North (C1/D3 & D2 are affected in the middle of the day and Western Hemisphere ( Asiasat 3,4,5) are affected in the afternoon. If you need any further assistance with these outages please contact out technical team.
